Unleashing Creativity with Jambot: Advantages of the AI Design Assistant

I have been using FigJam for a couple of years now. One might know that it’s a wonderful online white-boarding tool that allows teams to collaborate in real time to plan out projects, brainstorm different ideas, and share feedback on designs across the team.

So, I was very excited when last year Figma presented Jambot – an innovative AI-powered tool integrated within FigJam.

I’m excited to share more details about Jambot, a new tool that’s been turbocharging my design process lately. I guess it’s not just a tool or another AI marvel, but it’s an additional team member who’s always just a few clicks away from you and ready to help. From generating a bunch of new creative ideas to helping you have an answer to any question while designing to turning design concepts into working code, this has been a game-changer in my professional journey as a UI/UX designer.

I would like to share just a few examples of how I’m using Jambot.

What is Jambot?

Jambot is an AI-powered chatbot integrated within FigJam that can help you to solve a lot of different design tasks, but it is not limited to design only.

This smart tool can serve as an extra teammate, always ready to assist designers, developers, and other team members in their daily tasks. Whether you’re brainstorming ideas, refining designs, or seeking feedback, Jambot has your back.

Features & Benefits

Let’s have a look at what Jambot brings to the table:

  • Idea Generation: Jambot can help one generate fresh design ideas by asking specific questions and providing suggestions tailored to one’s project’s needs. For example, let’s say someone needs to add 10 best restaurants in a town to show them in your new mobile app for restaurant food delivery mobile app. Is the best option to Google it? I would say no. All one has to do is simply ask Jambot about it, and it will give you all the answers. If one doesn’t like the answer in text form, one can ask Jambot to rewrite it as a list.
  • Design Refinement: Once you have your ideas, Jambot can assist in enhancing them further. Whether it’s refining colors, fonts, or layouts, Jambot offers suggestions to elevate your design to the next level.
  • Feedback Gathering: For design feedback, Jambot can generate different insights and help gather valuable input from collaborators and stakeholders.
  • Visualization: Jambot can help you to visualize your design concepts by generating sketches and diagrams and facilitating clearer communication.
  • Coding: Another cool feature Jambot has to offer is providing the code in requested language for any item you describe. For example, one can see what the code in CSS & HTML will look like for a button element that grows once hovered over. You can just ask Jambot to show it, and here it is. It’s a super fun and exciting tool.

I haven’t tested all of the many features yet, and the possibilities are only limited by your imagination. I feel I’ve only scratched the surface of what’s possible.

Embracing AI in Design

Though still in its beta phase, the transformative potential of Jambot is evident. As a firm believer in lifelong learning and constant upskilling, I see Jambot as a valuable addition to any designer’s toolkit that can help to deliver exceptional results for clients and projects.
