Meet Vitalik: A Developer Who Loves to Study Something New

Vitalik is a member of the team at Swan Software Solution. He works as a Junior Front-end Developer.

When asked why he chose his career, Vitalik shared, “I always enjoy studying something new, and this profession allows you to do that.”

His responsibilities at work allow him to:

• Develop new user-facing features.
• Write reusable code and libraries.
• Enhance application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Define how the application looks and how it works.
• Translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code.

Accomplishments and Hopes

Vitalik shared what he believes makes a strong developer. “I think this is a quick learning ability. Good developers are typically amazing self-learners. They have the ability to learn new technology on their own and are not threatened by new technologies. They have the ability to pull various bits of information and process information on the fly. Every programmer will experience a situation where he or she doesn’t know the answer. Great programmers can find a variety of opportunities, speak to the right people, and find a solution no matter what. The best skill anyone can have is to know how to learn and excellent developers have perfected the ability of self-learning.”

His proudest accomplishment is related to his career. He explained, “My Proudest Accomplishment? I think this is my portfolio site. Why is it? Because I set myself the task of doing it on technologies I didn’t know, and I did it.”

In his future, Vitalik has plans. “Well, I’m really excited by this position at SWAN because, in five years, I’d like to be seen as someone with deep expertise in development, and I know that’s something that I’ll have an opportunity to do here.”

Hobbies

Vitalik stays active outside of work. He likes to play his favorite sports — football and volleyball. In his free time, he usually reads a book or goes to the gym.

Vitalik also enjoys cooking.

Vitalik hasn’t been able to travel to many different places, but he has visited Prague many times. He shared why Prague is one of his favorite places to visit, “I like the old buildings there.”

Vitalik loves to visualize his dreams so his favorite inspirational quote reflects this – “What the human mind can comprehend and what it can believe, it is able to achieve.”
