No parent should have to teach their child to make a Molotov cocktail.

No kid should have to sit in a park grinding up styrofoam to make the Molotov cocktail work better. No teenager should have to spend her day chatting with a neighbor–while ripping up sheets to use as fuses. No elderly person or teenager should have to line up to get a rifle to defend his life and the lives of those he loves.

Yet, many Ukrainian are having to do these exact things.

They are not characters in a movie. They are people like you and me. All they wanted was to live in peace, but they have been forced into a war they didn’t want. They have been attacked by a huge Russian force that is bombing civilians, schools, and hospitals.

Ukrainians have chosen courage and bravery. They have chosen to fight because they want to be free. They want the chance to continue to send their child to play with friends in the park rather than make Molotov cocktails. They want to watch their grandchildren play not their cities burn. They want to chat about their latest crushes rather than learn how to use a weapon.

And they need help to do that.

Swan Software Solutions has many team members, family, and friends in Ukraine. We are doing everything we can to help them in their fight. We have donated money, spoken to politicians, and said countless prayers. Here are links to help Ukraine through the National Bank of Ukraine. Swan is not affiliated with these accounts, but they are vetted.

Because no child should have to learn to make a Molotov cocktail.
