SWAN
Andrey’s favorite things about working for Swan are a healthy workflow and a friendly team.
When asked why he chose his career as a Front-End Developer, Andrey said, “The computer programming problems and challenges, constant learning, and satisfaction that come from programming make me love my job.”
His responsibilities include:
- building reusable, maintainable code and libraries
- bringing a designer’s concept to life
- implementing visual and interactive elements that users engage with
- contributing some back-end experience
- collaborating on APIs and more
- collaborating with other team members and stakeholders
When asked what he believes the most important trait of a software developer is, Andrey said, “The ability to make decisions and take responsibility for them. Because these decisions directly affect the team and the product.”
Off the Job
In his free time, Andrey enjoys spending time with his family. Although not a huge fan of sports, he does work hard to stay active and set a good example for his son.
He enjoys cooking and beer.
As a child, Andrey’s parents took him to a particular beach on the sea many times every summer. Now, Andrey likes to visit that same beach and remember the happy times he spent there growing up.
Accomplishments and Philosophy
When asked to describe his proudest accomplishment, Andrey commented that his proudest accomplishment was that “In spite of all my greatness, I keep my natural modesty. :)” Making people smile with his sense of humor is also an accomplishment.
A self-described “Geek from top to toe,” Andrey finds inspiration in the works of Lewis Carroll who he points out had a lot of hidden meaning in his writings. Andrey’s favorite Lewis Carroll quote? “Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end; then stop.”
