New Beginnings at Swan Software Solutions: My First Step Into a Future-Ready Tech World

Swan Software Solutions has welcomed a new member to the team. Abigail Chesta wrote an introductory blog to introduce herself.

Hello everyone! 

My name is Abbie Chesta, and I am excited to introduce myself as the newest member of the Swan Software Solutions’ team. I have joined in the role of Marketing and Operations Assistant, and I am excited to support my colleagues across departments while growing my experience in marketing. 

So far this experience has been fantastic! Everyone has been incredibly welcoming; I already feel like a part of Swan’s Family. Everyone’s passion to grow pushes me to be better every day.

I come from a background in journalism. I attended Indiana University Indianapolis and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 2024. I have always had a passion for writing, whether that’s articles, blogs, or digital content. During college, I completed two internships that helped me to learn more about myself and clarify the direction I wanted to take professionally. I also joined a Sorority that allowed me to push myself out of my comfort zone. I took on leadership roles and volunteered regularly, including supporting Riley’s Children’s Hospital.

This position at Swan is especially exciting to me because it gives me the opportunity to demonstrate my writing skills, grow professionally, and put my communication skills to good use.

Interests

Outside of work, I am all about the outdoors. I really enjoy going on walks and hiking, and finding new trails and parks to explore. I am also a big traveler. My most recent stop was North Carolina, where I spent my time at the beach and explored Wilmington with my family. For my next adventure, I am hoping to go to Spain and learn more about their culture along with seeing the beautiful country. 

On top of that, I am an animal lover. I just recently got a Bernedoodle named Max, who now joins me on most of my outdoor adventures. I have only ever grown up with dogs; therefore I will never get a cat, but that doesn’t mean I don’t think they are cute!

I am truly grateful to be a part of such a passionate and supportive team. I am looking forward to continuing to learn, grow, and contribute to the team.
